Course Description: This course focuses on the essential role of communication between teachers and young children in early childhood education settings. It explores the different types of communication—verbal, nonverbal, and active listening—used by teachers to foster a supportive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. Students will learn how to apply communication strategies that promote positive behavior, enhance social skills, and support emotional and cognitive development in children. The class also emphasizes the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.
